The American College of Healthcare Executives’ (ACHE) annual tracking of CEO turnover at hospitals shows annual turnover for 2021 was 16%, the same as in 2020. CEO turnover rates have declined slowly but steadily since 2013’s peak of 20%. ACHE has been tracking and researching these trends for about 40 years. Published May 2022.
