Obesity Rates to 2021, CDC

State-by-state obesity rates for adults from 2019 to 2021. CDC collected self-reported prevalence data shown in the maps through CDC’s Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS). Obesity is a risk factor for severe COVID-19 disease. The number of states in which at least 35% of residents have obesity has more than doubled since 2018, as 19 states now have an adult obesity prevalence at or above 35%. Updated September 2022.
