Screening for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease not recommended

The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) recommends against screening asymptomatic adults for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). This recommendation applies to people who have no respiratory symptoms.  Other professional groups have recommended against screening for COPD using spirometry. Details are written for professionals.
