Northwell Health Quality Ratings – Self-Reported

Find hospital quality ratings for Northwell Health – the former North Shore LIJ Health System in New York state.  The system voluntarily self-reports selected quality and safety scores for their 22-hospital system. Most results are aggregated to the system level. The 2021 Quality Report shows data for 2020. Topics include Covid-related measures, infections and readmissions, cardiac and joint replacement care, teamwork culture and more. Specific performance scores are in the sections called Excellence, Safety, Reliable Care, Teamwork and Innovation. Not all quality measures are reported. (For example, early elective deliveries are not reported on their Quality Report, nor are they reported to Leapfrog externally.) Consumers will need to distinguish between what is hospital promotion and marketing, vs. what is true transparency.
